FAQs

How do I order a cake?
Please visit the "Ordering" tab for details after browsing through the "Flavors" tab.

How do you price your cakes?
Standard pricing is based on the number of servings a cake will provide. The number of servings can change depending on how large or small you slice it, but this is where pricing begins.

My starting price is for a basic, white or chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and simple designs. The "price per serving" will go up when choosing a gourmet flavor, complex designs, and/or fondant. The final quote is always custom, based on each customer's needs.

Can you accommodate food allergies/special diets?
While I don't currently specialize in any special diets (i.e. sugar free, gluten free, dairy free), I can always accommodate nut allergies and am always looking to try new things. Please email belladolci@att.net with your dietary needs well in advance. Two weeks will be needed before ordering to confirm whether or not I can provide a cake that is not only safe, but delicious and beautiful.

I found a picture of a cake that I want, can you copy it?
Good question! No one is a fan of plagiarism, but I absolutely understand finding something you want and not being able to get it from the original source. That's actually how and why I got started doing cakes (you don't want to see the first topsy turvy cake I tried!) The only way to find out is to email belladolci@att.net with a photo and an open mind! More than likely the final design will vary in some way from the original photo.

Can you make a [insert character] cake?!
If you enjoy interpretive dance, Picasso's paintings, and the like, then yes! Ha! Cakes representing a character are absolutely possible. If you would like to see an actual Buzz/Woody/Minnie/Mickey/etc. on the cake, the cost of figurines will be included in your quote. This is not only because the perfectionist in me doesn't allow me to be satisfied with anything I can mold from fondant or modeling chocolate, but also because these characters (and others) have licenses and the purchase of the figurines covers that little legal obstacle. (See the Toy Story cake in the Blog.)
